Pold2^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg}/Pold2^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg} embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5, nor are there excess resorption sites. Homozygous mutants are recovered at expected ratios at E3.5 and appear as normal blastocysts. Mutants fail to hatch from the zona with apparent cell death during outgrowth culture. RT-PCR indicates limited pre-implantation expression. RT-PCR and knock-in LacZ show robust expression in gastrulation stages. Additional information at websites.umass.edu/jmager/Pold2
