Tmx2^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg}/Tmx2^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg} embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/35), nor are there excess resorption sites. Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 in expected ratios and appear as normal dying morula. Mutants fail to hatch from the zona with apparent cell death, never reaching a morphological blastocyst stage. RT-PCR indicates robust expression at the 16-cell stage and post-implantation.
