Zwint^em1(IMPC)J/Zwint^em1(IMPC)J embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/28) with an excess number of resorption sites (10). Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 in expected ratios and appear as normal blastocysts. Mutants hatch from the zona with apparent trophectoderm and primitive endoderm cells, but the inner cell mass/epiblast cells form a smaller than normal outgrowth colony. RT-PCR indicates expression during all stages examined in pre- and post-implantation. Additional information at websites.umass.edu/jmager/Zwint
