Nars2^em1(IMPC)J/\AlleleSymbol(MGI:5790096|0 mutants are recovered in expected ratios at E7.5 but are much smaller than littermates. A rudimentary egg-cylinder has formed, but no morphological primitive streak or other hallmarks typical of gastrulation at E7.5 (i.e. node, headfolds) are present. No Brachyury (T)-positive cells are present at E7.5. RT-PCR indicates expression in post-implantation stages with notable absence in the E7.5 yolk sac.
