Zfp407^em1(IMPC)J/Zfp407^em1(IMPC)J embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/30). Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 in expected ratios and appear as stalled cleavage stage embryos. Mutants fail to hatch from the zona with no further development in culture. RT-PCR indicates limited expression during pre-implantation but robust post-implantation expression.
