Ylpm1^{tm1b(KOMP)Wtsi}/Ylpm1^{tm1b(KOMP)Wtsi} mutants are recovered in expected ratios at E7.5 but are much smaller than littermates. A rudimentary egg-cylinder has formed, but no morphological primitive streak or other hallmarks typical of gastrulation at E7.5 (i.e. node, headfolds) are present. RT-PCR and knock-in LacZ indicate robust expression in most stages. Additional information at websites.umass.edu/jmager/Ylpm1
