The primers used to confirm exon 8 deletion are shown (red arrows). Black box represents Ppp1r13l exon 8, whereas blue triangles represent loxP sites (left). The presence or absence of Ppp1r13l exon 8 was confirmed by PCR analysis using specific primers. The deleted allele was generated after Cre-mediated recombination of two loxP sites, resulting in a 800-bp PCR product detected using Ppp1r13l-specific primers I8-2 and FLP2 and produced a 600bp PCR band. The detection of the wild-type allele was carried out using Ppp1r13l-specific primers I8-2 and E8-2. The detection of both bands indicates heterozygous mice (right). | ||||
