Disruption resulted in the deletion of exons 7-14 by homologous recombination with the targeting vector. Colored vertical boxes represent exons. Vertical arrows indicate restriction enzyme sites. P1, P2, and P3 are the common, wild-tye, and mutant primers, resepectively, used for genotyping by PCR.
