An IREScreERT2-floxed PGK-neo cassette was inserted into the 3' UTR of Lmx1b genomic locus. For the Lmx1btm3(cre/ERT2)Rjo allele, a point mutation (C to A) was also inserted into exon 5 which encodes a portion of the homeodomain. This mutation results in a single amino acid substitution (N246K) that renders this allele null for Lmx1b. The 5' external probe is shown as an orange rectangle.
