| Caption | Targeting strategy for the conditional deletion of exon 2 and 3 of the murine Cldn10 gene. A FRT/loxP site-flanked neomycin cassette was inserted upstream of exon 2, and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. The neomycin cassette was removed via FLP-mediated recombinase and generated the Cldn10tm1.1Dmu (floxed) allele. Cre-mediated recombinase can be used to conditionally remove exon 2 and 3 (deleted). dta, dta-cassette containing dta under control of the murine pGK promotor; neo, neo cassette containing neomycin resistance under control of the murine pGK promotor.
