| Caption | Targeted vector for the production of the P3h2tm1Hpb allele. The mouse P3h2 (Leprel1) gene spanning 15 exons is schematically presented. A targeted disruption containing a neo cassette (NEO) was made in exon 2 of the gene. A 9-kb Bsa1 restriction fragment spanning exon 2, part of intron 1-2, and most of intron 2-3 was subcloned into a p26 vector, and the neo cassette was cloned within the exon 2 sequence using the AvaI restriction site. | ||||
