| Caption | Targeting strategy for theSox17tm1(icre)Heli allele. A targeting vector was used to introduce icre into exon 1 of the Sox17 gene and the selection cassette was removed by Flp-mediated excision. Sox17 exons (black boxes) are numbered. Promoter regions (yellow boxes) and the two transcriptional starts (red boxes) are indicated. Primers used for genotyping are designated EP418, EP419, and EP510.
