| Caption | Shown, Krt25Re/Krt25Re Mcoln3Va/+ double mutant mouse. Both heterozygotes and homozygotes for Krt25Re have curly whiskers and wavy coats. The waviness of the coat disappears in adults, but the vibrissae and guard hairs remain curly. Heterozygotes for Mcoln3Va exhibit a variegated coat with patches of normal-colored, diluted and white fur. They are deaf and show circling behavior, head-tossing and hyperactivity. | ||||||
