Image
Caption Gross phenotype of Tg(K5-Ptgs2)675Kmd/0, Tg(K5-Ptgs2)19Kmd/0, or Tg(K5-Ptgs2)667Kmd/0 and wild-type mice. A & B: Hind feet of a 7 week old wild-type and transgenic mouse showing the exceptional nail growth of the transegenic. C: By 8 days of age the transegenic mouse remains hairless. D - F: 12 week old wild-type (D) and transgenic (E & F) mice. The transgenic mouse develops a furry coat, however it remains less dense and has a greasy appearance. More severely affected transgenic mice, as shown in E, have much less hair especially in the back skin.
