Caption | Homozygous Chd7Gt(S20-7E1)Sor/Chd7Gt(S20-7E1)Sor embryos are smaller than Chd7Gt(S20-7E1)Sor/Chd7+ and wild type embryos. Coronal sections of E10.5 wild type (A-D), Chd7Gt(S20-7E1)Sor/Chd7+ (E-H) and Chd7Gt(S20-7E1)Sor/Chd7Gt(S20-7E1)Sor (I-L) embryos stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Homozygous mutant embryos exhibit reduced thickness of the neuropithelium in the telencephalon (tel), midbrain (mb) and spinal cord (sc). The olfactory pit (op), optic eminence (oe), trigeminal ganglion (Vg) and hindlimbs (hl) are hypoplastic in homozygous mutants. Both heterozygous and homozygous mutants have delayed turning. The homozygous mutant otocyst (ot) is thickened and small. Fag, facio-acoustic VII-VIII preganglion; mp, mandibular prominence; aor, aorta; hrt, heart; rp, Rathke's pouch. | ||||||
