Caption Localization and identification of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labeled cells in Hexbtm1Rlp/Hexbtm1Rlp mice. In 3 month old Hexbtm1Rlp/Hexbtm1Rlp mice, horseradish perxidase (HRP) labeled cells were detected attached to the vascular wall in vessels in the spinal cord (a) and perivascular regions in the spinal cord (b). In a 4 month old mutant mouse (c) HRP-labeled cells were localized in the parenchyma of the thalamic nucleus. An HRP-labeled cell in the thalamic nucleus (d) of a 4 month old mutant mouse was identified as Mac-1 positive (arrow). Arrowheads show Mac-1-positive cells. (Inset) A nickel-enhanced HRP labeled cell. Scale bars: a & b, 100um; c, 200um; d, 60um.
