Phenotype Image Detail
Image
Caption A: Dorsal view of 10 day old wild-type and Krt6a/Krt6btm1Cou/Krt6a/Krt6btm1Cou mice. Note the size difference between the littermates. B: Wild-type tongue. The surface is smooth and uniform. C: Tongue from mutant mouse. White plaques cover the dorsal surface, extending from the posterior region (right) near the pharynx towards, but not reaching, the tip of the tongue (left). D: Paws from wild-type mice are similar to mutant mice. E: The paw of the mutant mouse appears smaller, probably due to poor nutrition and slow growth. Development of fur and nails do not appear altered in mutant mice.
