A: Apoptotic cells were visualized in embryonic kidneys (E14.5) with Lysotracker (red). Cytokeratin (green) and DAPI (blue) label epithelia and nuclei, respectively. As compared with control littermates, Lin7c^tm2Dsb/Lin7c^tm2Dsb Tg(Pax3-cre)1Joe (MMKO) kidneys showed a dramatic increase in the number of apoptotic cells. Bars = 100um.
