Image
Caption Liver architecture and lung morphology are distorted in Cebpatm1Kgx/Cebpatm1Kgx mice. A representative series of histologic sections of liver and lung tissues stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Note the acinar formation in the livers of Cebpatm1Kgx/Cebpatm1Kgx (-/-) mutants. Pulmonary histology of newborn littermates indicates hyperproliferation of type II pneumocytes in mutant mice and results in reduction in the alveolar airsapce (arrow, middle right panel) and interstitial thickening (arrow, lower right panel).
