| Caption | Sarcomeric maturation in Rhebtm1.1Otsu/Rhebtm1.1Otsu Tg(Myh6-cre)2182Mds/0 (Rheb-/-) hearts. A, electron microscopic analysis. At postnatal day 3 or 5, the sarcomere structures in both wild-type and mutant mice were immature, indicated by a narrow sarcomere width. At postnatal day 8, the width of the sarcomere became greater in wild-type mice but it remained narrow in the mutant mice, indicating that sarcomere maturation is impaired.
