Caption Galectin-8 markedly enhances VEGF-C-induced lymphangiogenesis in vivo in Tg(Prox1-EGFP)KY221Gsat/0 mice. Two separate pellets, one containing VEGF-C and the other galectin-8, were implanted in the corneas of the Tg(Prox1-EGFP)KY221Gsat/0 reporter mice. One week after surgery, the vessel area was calculated as described in the text. Representative fluorescent images are shown in the right panel.
