Caption | Histology and immunohistochemistry of mouse Tg(Th-MYCN)41Waw/0 tumors. Tumors that arose along the paraverterbral ganglia predominately exhibited (A), a solid cord (B) and molding/pavement morphologies (C) although areas of cells with a ganglion-like appearance were dispersed throughout the tumors (see arrow). The tumors stained homogenously for the neuronal markers- PGP9.5 (D), chromogranin A (E), synaptophsin (F) and neurofilament protein (G). However, only the ganglion-like cells within the tumor stained strongly positive for the neuronal markers - neuron specific enolase (H, I), microtubule associated protein 2 (J, K), Tyrosine Hydroxylase (L). These ganglion-like cells were negative for the proliferation marker Ki67 (M). | ||||
