Caption | Ccdc59em1(IMPC)J/Ccdc59em1(IMPC)J mutants can be recovered at E7.5 but are much smaller than littermates. A rudimentary egg-cylinder has not formed, and no morphological primitive streak or other hallmarks typical of gastrulation at E7.5 (i.e. node, headfolds) are present. RT-PCR indicates fairly wide-spread expression with notable absence in blastocysts and yolk sac at E8.5. Mutants appear as a necotic mass of cells at E7.5.
