Ube2m^{tm1.1(KOMP)Wtsi}/Ube2m^{tm1.1(KOMP)Wtsi} mutants are recovered in expected ratios at E7.5 but are smaller than littermates. A morphological primitive streak has formed but the epiblast shows very weak Oct4 signal. Other hallmarks typical of gastrulation at E7.5 (i.e. node, headfolds) are not present at E7.5. RT-PCR shows robust expression at E7.5, and LacZ reporter expression is weak in E6.5-E8.5 stages. Additional information at websites.umass.edu/jmager/Ube2m
