Alg14^{tm2b(EUCOMM)Hmgu}/Alg14^{tm2b(EUCOMM)Hmgu} embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/31), nor are the excess resorption sites. Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 in expected ratios and appear as normal blastocysts. Mutants fail to hatch from the zona and appear necrotic after 72hr culture. RT-PCR indicates limited early expression but robust mRNA beginning at the 16-cell stage. Additional information at websites.umass.edu/jmager/Alg14
