| Caption | Trit1tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg/Trit1tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg embryos cannot be recovered at the expected ratio at E7.5 (3/43). Though an egg cyclinder is formed, no morphological node or other hallmarks typical of E7.5 (i.e. headfolds) are present. Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 in expected ratios and appear as normal blastocysts. Mutants hatch from the zona and form fairly normal outgrowth colonies. RT-PCR indicates limited expression during preimplantation but robust post-implantation expression. Knock-in LacZ indicates neural tube expression at E8.5 (no expression at E6.5 or E7.5).
