  Haplotype data on the mapping of the fog mutation have been deposited with MGD under accession number MGD-CREX-727.
• Experiment
  F2 mutant fog mice derived from a cross of (mutant mice with CAST/Ei)F1 mice were informative in mapping Apaf1 with microsatellite markers D10Mit262 and D10Mit230 on mouse Chromosome 10. The mutant phenotype did not recombine with either D10Mit262 or D10Mit230. Other mouse Chromosome 10 markers mapping with the Apaf1 mutant included D10Nds2, D10Mit16 and D10Mit21.
