Notes
  • Experiment
The authors conducted an interval mapping study designed to search for and measure the effects of quantitative traits on directional asymmetry (DA) in (LG/J x SM/J)F2 (large x small) animals. Ten sets of mandibular bone measurements were assessed and analyzed to determine putative associated quantitative trait loci. Significant correlation of DA was found with mouse Chromosome 3, with two QTL markers detected -- one at 4 cM distal to D3Mit54 (Daq1) and one at 70 cM distal to D3Mit12 (Daq2). However Dag2will be listed as syntenic as its estimated cM position maps too far distal on mouse Chromosome 3.
