    The authors conducted an interval mapping study designed to search for and measure the effects of quantitative traits on fluctuating asymmetry (FA) in (LG/J x SM/J)F2 (large x small) animals. Ten sets of mandibular bone measurements were assessed and analyzed to determine putative associated quantitative trait loci. Significant correlation of FA was found with mouse Chromosome 7, with one QTL marker co-localizing with D7Mit9 (Faq3).
