Notes
  • Experiment
The authors conducted an interval mapping study designed to search for and measure the effects of quantitative traits on directional asymmetry (DA) in (LG/J x SM/J)F2 (large x small) animals. Ten sets of mandibular bone measurements were assessed and analyzed to determine putative associated quantitative trait loci. Significant correlation of DA was found with mouse Chromosome 10, with three QTL markers detected -- two at 12 cM distal to D10Mit2 (Daq4, Daq5), and one at 30 cM distal to D10Mit2 (Daq6).
