Notes
  • Experiment
The authors conducted an interval mapping study designed to search for and measure the effects of quantitative traits on fluctuating asymmetry (FA) in (LG/J x SM/J)F2 (large x small) animals. Ten sets of mandibular bone measurements were assessed and analyzed to determine putative associated quantitative trait loci. Significant correlation of FA was found with mouse Chromosome 15, with two QTL markers detected -- one co-localizing with D15Mit13 (Faq8), and one co-localizing with D15Mit2 (Faq9).
