Notes
  • Experiment
In a genome wide scan a quantitative trait locus (QTL), Rapop2, controlling radiation induced thymocyte apoptosis in (C57BL/6J x C3Hf/Kam)F2 mice was associated with loci on mouse Chromosome 9. A maximum LRS (likelihood ratio statistic) of 15.4 was calculated to show a significant association with Rapop5 and the Chromosome 9 region flanked by D9Mit224 and D9Mit22.

04.13.2015 Curators Note: Because Rapop2 was originally mapped in J:24435 in 1995 using recombinant congenic strain CcS-7 with progenitor inbred BALB/cHeA, which differs from the cross used here, we consider the current mapping study a separate mapping experiment and have named this QTL Rapop7.
