  Authors use CD94 and Nkg2d for locus symbols Kldr1 and D6H12S2489E respectively.
• Experiment
  These genes were localized to mouse Chromosome 6 using a combination of molecular techniques. A panel of YACs that have been shown to hybridize with Klra were used as the template for PCR and Southern analysis, Klra has been previously localized to the distal portion of mouse Chromosome 6. Authors confirmed localization of Kldr1 by PCR as well as by Southern analysis of YAC clones. D6H12S2489E localization was confirmed by Southern analysis with the same YAC clones.
