    This abstract discusses the mapping of quantitative trait loci (QTL) controlling the hormone-induced ovarian aromatase activity (HIAA) in mice. QTL linkage analysis of a (C57BL/6J x A/J)F1 x A/J backcross population mapped a QTL to mouse Chromosome 4, near D4Mit16 (LOD = 3.93). Reproductive congenic strain test crosses indicated two linked QTL with opposite effects: Aaiq1, Aaiq2.
