Notes
  • Experiment
Chromosome banding of (IHT x IST)F1 mice showed an unusual pattern in the centromeric portion of Chromosome 5 inherited from the IST mice. This abnormal centromeric region is referred tto as Hc5asc and was found to segregate in backcrosses in a Mendelian fashion. This abnormal region was determined to contain in translocation a centromeric portion of mouse Chromosome 5, which is given the marker symbol Tet(512)1Jic.
