  Progeny from a (ALY x MSM)F1 x ALY backcross were informative in mapping D16R11Mgh5 with D16Mit77 on mouse Chromosome 16. The mapping of D16R11Mgh5 was performed using D11Mgh5 rat primers to amplify mouse sequences. D11Mgh5 and D16R11Mgh5 map to conserved regions in rat and mouse respectively.
