  In a previous report (J:44450 Lesche R, Mamm Genome 1997 Dec;8(12):879-83) it was shown that Rbl2 and Fts are closely linked, transcribed in the opposite directions and the polyadenylated transcripts overlap in their 3'UTRs. The authors indicate here through Southern blot anlaysis that cDNA probes from Fts and Rbl2 show overlapping signal patterns further supporting the evidence that these genes are closely linked in mouse.
