Notes
  • Experiment
A genome wide scan for loci responsible for insulin-dependent diabetes was initiated in mice derived from a (NOD x PWK)F1 x NOD backcross. A susceptiblity allele from PWK was observed to segregate with markers on distal mouse Chromosome 6 between D6Mit21andD6Mit14. Various congenic strains were constructed to verify the position of Idd19 within a 9 cM region between D6Mit11 and D6Mit25.
