Tmevp2 resistance/susceptibility
Notes
  • Experiment
SJL mice are highly susceptible to TMEV (Theiler's Murine Encephalomyelitis Virus) whereas the congenic strain B10.S is resistant, therefore a (SJL/J x B10.S)F1 x B10.S backcross was established to map loci that control viral persistence. In 79 backcross mice a significant association of a viral persistence locus, Tmevp2 with mouse Chromosome 10 loci D10Mit14, Ifng, and Mdm1 was indicated.
