  Haplotype analysis of selected backcross animals [(3H1 x M. spretus)F x 3H1] carrying
  recombination events in the DXMit8 - Atp7a interval was used to map the Msg1 locus.
  Data indicated the following order of loci on mouse Chromosome X:
  DXMit8 - Zfx - DXMit16 - (DXHXS393, Msg1) - DXMit170 - Xist - DXMit177 - Atp7a.
  The Msg1 gene is noted to be 1.9 +/- 1.3 cM proximal of Xist.
