  The authors have constructed a physical map of the H19 locus on mouse Chromosome 7. Direct sequencing of cosmid clones spanning the locus gave the order/distance/transcriptional direction of the genes as: 5' - Mrpl23 - 3' ~14kb - 3' - Nctc1 - 5" - 18kb -3' - H19 - 5'.
