    Authors state that all ten genes of the Hoxd cluster are possible candidate genes for U1.
  • Experiment
    Authors report using the JAX BSS [(C57BL/6JEI x SPRET/Ei)F1 x SPRET/ei] backcross to map Acra proximal to D2Mit10 on mouse Chromosome 2. Authors further state that D2Mit10 defines the proximal boundary for Ul on mouse Chromosome 2. This data places Acra outside of the Ul region and eliminates it as a candidate gene for Ul.
