  • Experiment
    The Rmc1 locus had previoulsy been localized to a 5 cM region on mouse Chromosome 1. The authors used physical mapping techniques to construct a YAC and BAC contig spanning the region, Expression cloning was used to identify cDNAs contributing to the aquired susceptibility to MCF virus phenotype. The cDNA was then used as a probe to identify the location of Xpr1 on the YAC contig. The order of the markers on mouse Chromsome 1 is: Lamc1 - Lamc2 - D1Hun58 - D1Mit227 - D1Hun25 - D1Mit55 - Xpr1 - D1Hun59 - D1Hun26 - D1Mit34.
