    The authors used information from a backcross to refine the genetic map of the Lp region. The Lp region was cloned in a YAC contig of 63 YACs spanning 3.2 Mb. By combining data from the physical and genetic maps, the Lp critical region haas been narrowedto an interval of ~1000kb. YAC end STSs and mouse ETSs were used in the construction of the physical map of the region. The order of the genes/markers on mouse Chromosome 1 is: centromere - (W57327, W48336, W53272, AA104562, Apoa2, AA062310, Fcer1g) - (AA209988, Usf1, AA087357) - AA638916 - D1Sta1 - D1Mit113 - Cd48 - Ly9 - Nhlh1 - D1Sta2 - Copa - Pex19 - D1Ucla4 - Pea15 - D1Sta3 - Atp1a2 - Igsf8 - Kcnj9 - Tagln2 - Crp - D1Mit354 - Olfr16 - D1Sta4 - Apcs - D1Mit206 - Fcer1a - D1Sta5 - Darc - D1Sta6 - D1Sta7 - D1Sta8 - D1Sta9 - Ifi204 - D1Sta10 - D1Sta11 - (D1Mit540, D1Sta12, Spna1) - D1Mit50 - D1Sta13 - D1Mit541 - D1Sta14. Markers within brackets are not ordered with respect to each other.
