Detailed physical and genetic mapping of the Lps region of mouse Chromosome 4 is reported in J:50273, Poltorak A; et al. Genetic and physical mapping of the Lps locus: Identification of the Toll-4 receptor as a candidate gene in the critical region. Blood Cells Molecules Dis 1998 SEP 15;24(17):340-355. The authors here reported a subset of those mapping data showing a physical BAC order of Pappa - Tlr4 - D4Mit178. There were 4 recombinants between Lps and Pappa in a total of 1600 meioses and 0 recombinants between Lps and D4Mit178 in 2093 meioses. Importantly the authors provide detailed evidence that the mouse Chromosome 4 locus Tlr 4 is responsible for the Lps response in mice.
