Notes
  • Experiment
The authors constructed a 840kb BAC contig spanning the c-112K and c-3H proximal breakpoints. These breakpoints were found to be separated by 320-350kb. The authors used Southern analysis of these overlapping clones to physically map the Arnt2 gene to this deletion on mouse Chromosome 7. The Arnt2 gene spans 130-170kb of this interval and is completely deleted by the c-112K deletion. Using this BAC contig, the authors were able to construct a physical map of the loci around the c-112K and c-3H deletion on mouse Chromosome 7. The order of the loci is: D7Mit261 - M-02922 - M-10625 - M-04373 - 46O1-T7 - 42F4-T7 - Arnt2 - p174A19-Sp6 - Del(7)Tyr C-3H-p - Fah - D7Mit62 - D7Cwr11P - Tyr - D7Cwr3D - Eed - D7Mit352.
