  A large intersubspecific backcross between the mutant stock TsJ/Le-Ts/+ and MSM strains were used to map the Ts gene to a 0.16 cM region between D11Mit128 and D11Mit256. A BAC contig spanning a 300kb segment covering the Ts causative region has been constructed.
