• Experiment
  A region encompassing 115kb DNA surronding the mouse Vars2 gene was cloned in eight overlapping cosmids. One clone E9.1 which contained the Vars2 genes, also contained an exon corresponding to the Gft2h4 gene immediately telomeric to the Vars2 gene. The Vars2 gene had previously been localized to mouse Chromosome 17. Therefore Gtf2h4 was also mapped to mouse Chromosome 17.
