Notes
  • Experiment
The authors cloned and physically mapped several members of the aquaporin gene family. Overlapping cloned revealed that the were arrayed in a head to tail order. The order of the genes were: Aqp2 - 3.5kb - Aqp5 - 7.2kb - Aqp6. Aqp5 had previously been mapped to mouse Chromosome 15. Therefore, Aqp2 and Aqp6 were also localized to mouse Chromosome 15.
