Notes
  • Experiment
DNA genetic marker D17Leh502 is located near the proximal breakpoint of the approximate 1 Mb deletion on mouse Chromosome 17 that defines the various qk alleles. D17Leh502 was used to isolate microsatellite marker D17Wtc1 which was found to be polymorphic between strains BTBR and A/J. In a previously defined genetic cross (J:9547, King TR, et al. Proc Natl Acad SCI USA 1989 Jan:86(1):222-6) D17Wtc1 did not recombine with the qkl-1 allele.
